I've seen people ask questions and give details (sometimes too explicit) about their symptoms and what to do. Don't these people realize that you CANNOT get a safe diagnosis over the Internet? If you're unsure, see a DR. If you don't have insurance, go to a community clinic (or get it if you have the $$).

And it's the same thing for people who have pets. If you're unsure, take Fluffy to a vet. Don't ask for a diagnosis here.

I guess alot of people just wanna know if other people can relate...I'm sure alot of people don't have health insurance, and alot of the ailments I have seen people asking about are embarassing, and that can keep people away from doctors, too. I definitely disagree with people who get on here asking questions about sick animals, though. Go to the vet!!! Those poor animals just sit around suffering while their owner surfs the net looking for answers! People shouldn't even OWN an animals if they can't afford vet bills.

Perhaps they've realized that even when asking for a diagnosis for an ailment, after looking through a varied amount of resources online and looking at others' responses, the same solution keeps popping up. That is the advantage of using as many means of information as possible to get the best advice you need. At least people are asking rather than being ignorant, I say.

I don't think you have being much attention here,as no one is qualified it is usually added to go to your Dr or seek medical advise, people ask on here maybe for a bit of encouragement, and some advise, nobody should follow any advise on medication without their Dr's help, next time you read the answerer's look more closely, hope this has helped

You are perfectly correct. But, this site can give people a general idea what might be wrong, but, as always, check with your physician or vet.

It's more for a peace of mind for them this is why they ask just like the question I am replying to now.

thank you for pointing this out.

I wonder that too, but I live in Canada with socialized medicine, so I can see a doctor regularly. Others are not so fortunate.
