I gotta say worse for sure, the old stuff is way better

I do agree that in the past there were some great musicians and they created some phenominal music, but I would not say that music today is worse, just diffirent.

I do say that there are some horrindously bad bands today, but there were plenty of those in the past as well we just don't hear of them because they couldn't pass the test of time.

Just look at the music of the 80's the music then got plenty of bad press, but does everyone forget about AC/DC, Metallica, Scorpions, Foreigner. They all had huge hits from the 80's and I don't know of anyone that can't find at least 1 song everyone likes of those bands.

I'm just saying that there are plenty of bands out there putting out great music just take a chance and really listen in and find out what the songs are saying and where the artist is coming from. I'd say it isn't neccessarily all bad or all good its just different

Worse, music should make you feel good, feel happy, relax. Listen to some of the songs of the 70's, listen to big band,

I hear some of the music today and I feel like I am being screamed at and threatened. Not pleasant.

I hate to say it but even some of the country stuff is better then the popular music of today.

Well..the music right now is better than the 80's. But it's definitely not improving at all. Music in the 70's and older were pretty great. I can only think of a few bands that are during the present time that I like.

even though there are a lot of copies of older music, some of the newer stuff is still pretty good. there are some good songs & some bad songs from both the old and the new artists.

I think it's getting worst day by day... Still there are really "good" singers like James Blunt but most of the new singers are bad... Specially those new rappers (crappers)... Even lyrics of the new songs dsnt have a deep meaning... But i think rock bands maintain their reputation.... Pop and hip-hop are getting worst.... Eminem is talented and exception here... He really is good..

Definitely worse. Nothing original, everything is a copy of someone else's style.

worse for sure, because the worlds population is becomming dumber and dumber so now they need to create music which can cater to simple minds (especially americans). also theyre running out of ideas, so call it a creativity drain too
