First thing when you boot your system next time to do is to backup as much data you can and then

(per my experiences - not responsible for any data/any other loss since I can not access your system. Most likely you will have to reinstall assuming h/w is OK)

1. open start->run->msconfig->startup-> deselct all -> reboot your system

2. You will get a normal system without junk startups like IM's and few other things etc.
Start the programs manually and troubleshoot at what point it barfs out.

3. I do agree with another answer for crruption and let me add the driver issue as well which can cause potential problem as and when system tries to access that device.

4. If nothing works try too boot from OS boot CD and try to repair

5. Wipe everything clean and reinstall. if and when you reinstall make sure you make an extra partition for your DATA/MUSIC/VIDEOS etc. This will save you lot of trouble for future upgrades and reinstalls.

Good Luck (you need it - I know)

2 issues which could make noise, followers and the HDDs. You mentioned you wiped sparkling it, yet did you sparkling the fan blades themselves? If no longer, verify 'em (via ear) and notice if it relatively is it. HDDs, if it relatively is the stressful disk(s), ya bedda make backups precise-rapid cuz the sucker jest would be a giving up the ghost, if ya gits mah waft. Have ya finished makin' back-united statesbut? Hurry. ;-)

hmm, this usually means a very significant windows file/process is currupt or damaged, and whenever that file/process wants to run, the system will boot itself..well this problem is usually caused by recent changes/additions to ur pc, did u recently install any software/hardware, whatever the case maybe, you should system restore your pc, sorry i dont know the correct solution for this issue, but try it thou, hope it works..

Wow...you got that infamous blue screen. That happened to me and my brother had to like redo everything, erasing ALL of my music, files, everything...

I'm really sorry but you'll probably suffer the same fate...

Hehe, you dirty boy. I see that paper plate of food on the side you haven't cleaned up.
