I don't think you want wire mesh. Bags for laundering delicate items are made of fabric mesh. They're usually made of a synthetic material.

I would use plastic mesh, not wire mesh. For sure you should be able to find them on line - eBay has just about anything you could want. Try there. Best of luck with finding them.

Trust me on this, you won't need socks in India! Seriously....you won't. Too much dirt, too much heat...too much stress for the sock fibres. Just don't bother.
