When young lady is cheated after marriage saying bring dowry and enter the house ,9yrs passed and no response,no allimony ,what will the people like to say,should he not be punished for neglecting her?

Things have passed that stage, what you have mentioned in your query in India. We have broken the joint family system where the eldest in the family would have been heard and obeyed strictly. The old man would have sorted it now and wiser counsel would have prevailed. Then there was respect to elders and people collectively decided on problems and people accepted. In Todays care a hook attitude of youngsters, nothing will be heard, as they feel they knew everything on earth and the so called old hags shall be least respected. There are more broken marriages. Your poser of dowry shall only be settled by the same younger group of men, by refusing to go by the way of mother's who want to get dowry. This is the only thing heard by the ward to his mother, i.e., dowry.

Are you saying that your husband cheated on you? Or that you were supposed to get married and gave the man your dowry and never did get married, or never saw him again?
In either case the guy is scuz and should be punished, yes. But not physcially - take him to court!

while cheating in a marriage is certainly not acceptable, there is no law against it in this country and therefore there is no punishment. you have to let the courts decide whether you should get alimony or not, it all depends on whether you can or cannot support yourself.

if your saying she broght her dowry and he bailed...then yes...report he stole...but to be frank...9 years is a long time....
