Hahahaha, it's funny. My best friend's Buddhist from Thailand, and obviously she doesn't believe in God, but every chance she gets she says oh my God, or Jesus. I guess all these sayings come with the English language. I'm Turkish, and if you go to Turkey, you won't hear somebody saying Isa, which is Jesus, but people do not say oh my Allah either.

"Allah" is the Arabic (or Aramaic?) word for "God," so they're the same. Jesus, the common anglicized name of the Savior, is also Deity to Christians. To take their names in vain is to blaspheme, which means to use that which is holy in unholy ways.
Mohammed and Joseph Smith were prophets (to their followers), like Moses or David. Taking their names in vain would be impolite, just as if I took to saying "Oh, Trillionaire that hurts!" but it wouldn't be blasphemy.
So, how does it feel to have your name used as a curse?

Cultural osmosis, my friend. A lot of English-speaking culture is steeped in Christianity, and it tends fo bleed over to non-Christians.
I think that you will perhaps be happy to know that I'm trying to make an effort to say "Noodles of the FSM!" instead of "God" or "Jesus". It doesn't always work, but I'm getting there.

Well in doing so you would legitimize these religions and their gods. Why give them more publicity than they already have? Granted taking the Lord's name in vain isn't good to do either. Maybe we just need to come up with something else to say... like crikey!

Everyone who uses the Lord's name in vain is breaking one of the ten commandmants. I hate it when people talk like that and so does God. To me, it is a slur. Nobody wants their name to be disrespected.

This would create another degradation in common practice not to mention add to the conflict between Muslims and non-Muslims. Sounds kind of hateful to me.

God is the word which will link this world to each other. All others are there to divide. So enjoy!

'god' is not the name of any actual god. It can refer to allah as easily as yhwh or odin for that matter.
