I dont, know in my neighborhood its really culturely mixed and the only people being slurred at are the young black children that are really a pain in the butt to the older people. Black people are even the ones saying this to the kids. Its just a group of people doing it ,not all people join in.

I think you might be a little biased in this one because you are one that is picked on. I think it depends on where you live in the country how much you stand out. People don't just get picked on for race anymore everyone has a feature that makes them stand out and be noticed. But where I live Mexican's happen to be the ones that take the brunt of the racial remarks because there are so many of them. I just wish in this world that people could be nice to each other. I hope it gets better for you.

I'm not sure about Asians, but I think Indians may experience some discrimination because, to Westerners, Indians resemble middle Easterners, who as you are aware, we are having some problems with at the moment. It's probable a misidentification. People think you are middle Eastern, (read Muslim) and that makes them uncomfortable. Most people react like ignorant morons, and behave rudely and are insulting.

I am a Malay (one of Asian races). I have to agree to a certain extend that some Asian races are often picked on but it doesn't mean they are always the first to be picked on. There are other races in this country that is being picked on each day but it's in smaller scale and not as much as Asian races. I myself have no idea why this happen but certainly, it's not something we Asians love. Guess it's about time people just learn to accept each other? Hmm...

Actually, the racial slurs depend on where you are and where you come from. In America, blacks and Mexicans get more than their fair share of racial slurs. A few years back it was Jews and Irish.
In Japan, everybody gets slurred constantly, especially their cousins from Korea and China.
In Germany, Turks and Arabs get the hit first, than Americans.
It all just depends on who is doing it and how much they hate.

I'm not sure that I agree with you. about chinese indians etc being the first people to endure racial slurs...I think that this is a condition in the world that is epidemic and should come to a stop...Racism in any form is intolerable..I just don't know how to get people to stop and realize what they are doing.

i think it depends on where you are , and who the people respect the most in that area. i live in canada and the chinese people are taking up most of the population here in toronto and they seem to be superior at my school compared to the lonely caucasians. the caucasians in the school are always the ones being made fun of, so its a different story. there is a guy that is from trinidad at my school and i actually thought he was from india

I think racists pick at anyone with a colour they dislike most. Its not just the Asians who gets picked on. Some Asians can be racists too and pick on another colour to slur at.

Where I'm from Asians don't really have a bad rap. Mainly I see African Americans taking the brunt of racially demeaning language.

So I am confused...you don't like being from India or simply don't like being picked on? People get picked on for various reasons.... no need to spend time on thinking about it. You got bettert things to do. Can't be the perfect human being nobody picks on you, right ?
