Ok. Long time ago, there was a music video on CMT that I liked quite a lot. The best I can remember the lyrics:

"Scars. Everyone's got a story, a tall tale of glory, that somehow you survived.
Scars. A flesh and blood reminder, of how fragile we are. And you ain't lived, 'til you've got scars"

And the final chorus he adds "and you ain't loved, till you've got scars"
