Because he was a deranged fan, and he took the path of Mark David Chapman, John Hinckley Jr., and that Mexican lady that killed Selena. The love and anger for Dimebag built up in his deranged head and he snapped. He jumped on stage, and fired indiscriminately. He was a crazy bastard with a gun, so the cops took him out before he could get them. Case closed.

The shooter killed Dimebag thinking he was the reason Pantera broke up (but he was a ******* idiot because CLEARLY it was Phil's fault) and the shooter was killed by the cop that was called in.
