What does this guy mean by "A girl who will lift up that button when we get in the car." anybody know?

Perhaps locks? My dad used to say, "You'll know when you met the right girl because she'll lean over and unlock the door for you."

In the first place - this "guy" has opened the (was locked) door for you. You then may just have the common sense to reach across and un-lock his door. Or are you more used to the ones that just get in on their side and look over at you wondering when you are going to get in on your side.
