Thierry Henry is a leading candidate in the UK with Wayne Rooney another contender to a very different market.

Perhaps an interesting follow-on to this would be 'What makes someone marketable'?

Your answer gives the marketable talents in those leagies, add to the list, Ballack, Shevchenko, R Carlos, S E'too, Totti and Cannavaro with Cassilas and that would be the adverts done for the next couple of years.

I agree with you. Only. I think Beckham is no longer a marketable player. Instead, i would say Fernando Torres or maybe Lionel Messi

I think in terms of Serie A, Francesco Totti must be pretty marketable. The man's name and image is everywhere in Rome...
