Any type of exercise is good exercise.
As far as I know, there are no specific exercises that will promote increasing height, unless it might be hanging on an inversion table. stretches out your entire body.

Rebounding on a mini trampoline (Rebounder), is reported to be the maximum exercise. I do 2,000 bounds both morning and evening, which is the equivalent to running (not jogging) but running a total of 2 miles per day and with the added G - Forces, (Gravitational forces) it is a better workout than running.

Good exercising to you,

Darryl S.

I suppose it is but, I would prefer to jump rope. And I doubt skipping has anything to do with height growth.
