.Iraq..and the questions that linger about 9/11...the illegal invasion of Iraq and using our armed forces for corporate gain right in front of the whole world..No wonder ,other than Hitler no world leader has ever garnered some much ill will toward a Nation

He got elected. And now- he's getting "old" too. Presidents usually don't "age" as well as wine does. Sooner or later- people start getting tired of the same old talking head on TV- and think that maybe the grass could be alittle "greener" on the other side of the next election. ... I mean, look at Tony Blair over in England. Even I liked him alot when he first took office back in the early 90s. -But 3 terms later, I'm thinkin' "Heave- ho, Blair's gotta go..."- and so do many of the English who voted for him once upon a time. So if you really think Bush made one big mistake, then it would HAVE to be- that he ever decided to run- in the first place. And I'll bet you a LOT of people would agree...

I am a conservative and like him, but I think his biggest mistake was not going into Iraq with a large enough force to be overwhelming and therefore get the job done faster like in desert storm. They should have gone in with 3 or 4 times as many troops and done it very strong. This is what the Iraqis actully expected and wanted. That way the terrorists would have been whopped and not gotten as strong as they have. It should have been a much bigger faster war that would show our military strength while still not targeting civilians.
The middle east only understands and respects military strength, if you are only half way, the know it and lose respect.

His biggest mistake was giving in to his Oedipal desire to depose Saddam Hussein. Sure, it was a good idea to get rid of Saddam, but he ordered the troops in before there was a decent plan in place. He didn't even wait for the intelligence reports on the ground, he just bumbled in there with Rumsfeld & Cheney like the Three Stooges.

The minute he was put in office by the Supreme Court it's been screw up after another. But the one to put the icing on the cake, if there is one, would have to be regarding Osama as "not a priority".
