Silent Hill?

I just finished watching silent hill and i dont get like half the movie...can someone please explain it to me...

They didn't die in the car accident. People think they die because they are unable to contact people by phone or see or touch them. That doesn't make them dead, in the case of Silent Hill it means that they are on a parallel plane of existence. I have played the Silent Hill games, and the people who go through Silent Hill are not dead. They just enter another spiritual dimension, usually one that alternates betwen modern-day reality and a dark alternate reality.

A little girl in Silent Hill (Alessa) was burned as a witch, but she survived, although badly burned and incapacitated. She created two other selves - Dark Alessa (the girl Rose was chasing through the town), and Sharon (the girl who was abandoned and adopted). She did this because she wanted to get revenge on the people who had burned her, but she couldn't walk, and none of the evil manifestations of her rage could get into the church.

Dark Alessa called Sharon to the village, knowing that her adoptive mother (Rose) would bring her there. She used Rose's body to get into the church and kill the villagers. Then Dark Alessa entered Sharon's body and the two outward manifestions of Alessa were joined. Because Sharon was actually two supernatural beings at that point, the road opened for her (it was said that only the Dark One could open the door to Silent Hill). That's why you think they're going home, but they are stuck in that otherworld because Rose allowed herself to be used by Alessa, and in return she got Sharon back (sort of). Hope this helps.

i watch the movie but did not play the game. i think the movie may be different from the game?!
mum and girl died in the car accident but they dont know they are dead
those other beings they saw in silent hill are actually repeating themselves day after day since the buringing of silent hill
the little girl needs a payback on the town that burned her alive but at the mean time, since she is still a little girl, she is innocent at heart
father went looking for them can only sense their presence but cant see them as they are in a different world

I was confused as well. But my husband has played the video game and he knew exactly what was happening and why. The people in the town are in their own hell. And the reason why the husband and the one cop can't see the other cop and the wife is because they aren't technically in the same time/space. They are there, but in sorta in another time. Something like that.

i just asked this ?? about two weeks ago.the cop,mother and daughter all died during there accidents,so they were ghost the rest of the way through the movie.it was a lame movie.

I just finish watching it too and I think somehow they died in that car accident and are in purgutory. It's really weird.

i dont knoe i never seen it but its based on a true story in west virginia..lol
