I don't trust home made remedies. Go to a doctor.

The best remedy for her is probably antibiotic. She shoud see her doctor!. No home remedy works for this kind of problem. Moreover, due to diabetes she is high risk anyway. If she will get bladder infection too frequently then she can be placed on prolonged prophylactic antibiotic treatment.

Letting a bladder infection go be very dangerous, it can lead to a kidney infection and at your mom's age with the health problems you mentioned she needs to get some antibiotics ASAP or she could get very, very sick.

I don't like or trust doctors but I get UTI's and I've learned the hard way to go for the antibiotics at the first sign of infection.

Sorry but for this, there isn't any Old Wives Tales remedy because any inner body infection isn't something to be playing around with by trying home remedies.
It pains me to say that you need to get your dear mom to the Dr.
today, especially with all those other conditions you need to consider. Good luck to you and a speedy recovery to her.

The doctor will prescribe antibiotics. H20 and cranberry juice only help prevent it. And Ouch that is mighty painful.

long term antibiotics will help...esp for someone who has diabetes...sugar spill in the urine makes the urine a good place for bacteria to multiply..... enough water and cranberry juice will help with hydration and prevention of kidney stone.......
