Economically,
Rich: load and load of money, properties and things needed, wanted or not.
Middle class: enough to live on with some on the side. if lucky
Poor: not enough, if any to live on to have a good life.
Psychologically,
Rich: has inner peace
middle class: on their way to life fulfillment, and in search of inner peace
poor: are the overly religious people, who look down on others and believe they are above all. No matter what religion, many are guilt of the same misfortune.
Sociologically:
Rich: are looked upon as happy in their life, no matter what they have or have not.
Middle class: the majority of people consider themselves as one, even if they are living in or under poverty line
poor; the person who seems doesn't want to work, and want to live on the government, welfare and the sort.

Rich are people who have possessions and wealth (considered as a group). Possessing material wealth. Having an abundant supply of desirable qualities or substances (especially natural resources). Of great worth or quality. Marked by great fruitfulness. The rich are people who can buy anything they want without looking at or caring about the price.
Middle Class is the social class between the lower and upper classes. Occupying a socioeconomic position intermediate between those of the lower classes and the wealthy. A middle class family can live happy and take vacations. They can also afford to own a home, health care benefits and live a comfortable life.
Poor are people without possessions or wealth (considered as a group). Having little money or few possessions. Characterized by or indicating poverty. Lacking in specific resources, qualities or substances. Not sufficient to meet a need. The poor in our society hardly have enough food for their families, some don't have a place to call home. The poor try to make ends meet the best way they can with very little money.
I hope this gives you an understanding between rich, poor and middle class.

The Gov says a 3 person family making under 24K a year (gross) is poor. And for the same family over 125K a year. I have to tell you that unless you have more money then you can spend you feel poor. I am very much in the uper part of the middle class and I worry a lot about ending up out on the streets with nothing. Pretty scary if you ask me. However if being white male I would have no place to fall back on and would end up in a homeless shelter because the gov don't give food stamps to poor white guys. Not that I know of anyway.
So it depends on how you look at it. I am broke all the time and I am in the uper mid class and all I do is pay my normal bills and try to eat. I guess I could get rid of this computer and the internet and maybe a few cable chanels. But think aobut it.. Most poor have that much and a beer to drink while on line looking at porn.

THe rich are those who live usually in downtown or the burbs and have money and really good jobs and huge houses, or expensive apartments or condos...the poor are those who can't work, don't have any money, are homeless, live in projects etc. The middle class is the of the people who have money but not as much as the rich people and are i think the working class and the consumer class.

I personally feel that the classification of people is extremely stupid. It doesn't matter how much money you have. What matters is the type person you are. Would you help someone in need if you had the means? Are you kind and generous? Money is not everything. Money might get you nice cars, nice clothes, and lots of material things, but what matters in the end is if you are happy with your life. The way I feel people should be classified is as follows:
Rich- People who are rich in spirit, and do good things with their means.
Middle- There is no middle class.
Poor- Those people who are always unhappy; people who kill and steal.
Everyone might not agree with me, but that is just fine. We all have an opinion, and I just wanted to voice mine. Sorry if anyone is offended by anything I have said. These are my feelings on this subject. Thanks!

This answer would depend on the given society. The stratification system in each society is different. It depends on many factors that influence it, from government, wealth, knowledge, opportunities -just a few ideas there. ( too long to go into detail)
Also, people can move up or down in the classes depending on the events in their lives that make this turn effective.

Rich is where you have everything in the world, and you can get anything you want, middle class is where you have half of the stuff you want and you can;t go out and get it whenever you want and poor is where you don't have anything and you could be homeless. Does this make sense to you now
