Yup, ya got me!
I think it's because we all have a fascination with astronomy, but a lot of people really know nothing about it. I teach college astronomy, and it never ceases to amaze me the misconceptions people have, even as "educated" adults! Do a search on astronomy misconceptions - it can be quite sobering!

People are generally ignorant and the rest are just stupid most of these people are just either trying to get attention or are just trying to be funny, some are just rocking the boat so to say. I am glad to see that this was a joke question , i was prepared to identify this question as ludicrus and stupid

I have no good idea. The best that I can come up with is that they don't know enough about astronomy to separate the good stuff from the crud.
