Impacts are:

1. More than 60% of world population would live in cities in next few decades.

2. Urbanization followed by globalization results big player entering in the market and act locally, which is called glocalization.

3. Movement of people from one city to another in search of opportunities. Most of the professionally qualified people often tend to work at lower level at new cities of another country as his/her qualification would not be recognized.

4. Economy and performance of major cities in the country dominate the country's economy and any hicups in a major city can result fever in rest of the regions.

5. Shifting or closure of big MNC in a city will have major socio-economic effect in the people.

6. Major cities will brand its services, facilities in order to attract investors, skilled people, tourists and compete with one another just as business hourses do.
