If you were stranded in a forest at night with a fool moon 100 miles from any open roads and no form of...?

transportation, and your phone didn't work. What would you do? If you had a flash light would you use it? If you saw a cottage or some type of house, would you knock on the door? Would you be too scared to make a sound? What if you thought someone was following you? What if you hear weirder noises? How would you react to the whole situation? I kinda hoping for a short story but you can answer however you want.

Sorry, I meant to type full moon.

i would be happy. nobody to bother me. i wouldnt use my flashlight until after dinner. i wouldnt want to scare away any food. i would enjoy the solitude. nobody to say stupid stuff like "why do you study those survival books? youll never use them" or "why do you carry that tupperware thing full of everything you need to survive in almost any situation?". id make a trap with my snare wire and set it out. if there was somebody following me i'd wait and see what hes going for. if he doesnt know im there id let him pass. if he aims to do me harm i would stab him with my bowie knife(i have good night vision) and see what hes got in his pockets for me to use. i would probably take his clothing and keep it for something. maybe a water filter. if he has any type of uniform i would keep it nice, maybe for a disguise if i want to infiltrate his HQ later on. if he has a firearm, thats worth 5 "extra credit survival points". about the house, if i saw one 100 mliles from civilization i would be wary until i checked the place out. if it looks like it is inhabited, i would get outa there. i dont need to get into a sniper duel with a mountain man. he would probably be watching me through a rifle scope by that time anyway. if it doesnt look inhabited or has the look of a yuppie/carpet bagger vacation home i would go inside and check it out. i wouldn't bother knocking. yuppies dont open doors for me and they would probably prepare to defend themselves if thy knew i was there. best to creep in while theyre asleep or watching cable TV. maybe id find something shiny to use as racoon bait, or maybe id find some fishing or hunting gear.

If I were 100 miles from any open road, I believe I would have known I would be stranded. I had obviously hiked there (if I had no roads it follows that I have no car there). I would probably return to my tent or cabin and enjoy the light from the full moon. If I saw a cottage or house, I would have seen it in the daylight, so yes, I would knock if there was a light on and I wanted company. If I were walking I would expect weird noises . Even animals are affected by the full moon. I would expect wolves to howl and possibly circle me. If I was without any shelter, I would build a fire to keep warm and to keep the wolves away. Have you never been out in a full moon? Living in the country, it is a way of life. We walk, we visit, we drive, we often have no cell service. We use a flashlight if necessary (it's not during a full moon unless it is cloudy). I don't think this is a scary story my dear. If you want a scary one, how about "If you woke up in a forest at night with no recollection of how you arrived there or where you were, and there was a full moon, you had a flashlight and no form of transportation...." continue with your question from there and you may get the short, scary story you are looking for. Are you trying to impress your girlfriend or get us to write your homework for you? Just curious.

I'd sit under a tree and go to sleep. Then the next day I'd go for help, maybe knock on the door of that house. Knock at night and they might be even more scared than I was. But there's nothing scary about the forest at night, at least not for me.

Yes you can call the police. That's what we are there for is to help. I don't know about other states, but in Texas, on the back of your drivers license is a 800 number to Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) for emergency road side assistance. Always remember to keep your doors locked, windows up, and turn on your hazard lights. Hope this gives you some peace of mind.

I would use the flash light, and see what the noises were, and hope that they were not wolves.. or bears.. The house is a scary house, and I am not sure I should go up to it, but my phone does not work, so I am walking up to it slowly, and be very quiet to see if I can see any one around there.. I can see a shadow of a man inside the house.. He looks old and unshaven, and very unkept.. He is carrying an ax... I am very afraid to go to the door, but I have a wolf pack coming up fast on me and don't have any choice but to go to the door.. I go up slowly and listen for any sounds in the house.. I hear a scream from inside the house.. ,,,,,, it is a woman's scream.. it is blood crud ling.. I am scared to death.. but the wolves are coming at me fast, and I have no protection on me.. And then I remember my pepper spray.. I spray the wolves with the spray, and it only makes them madder, and they come at me with even more force.. All of a sudden the door of the cabin swings open, and the man comes out with the ax.......................................... And he scares the wolves off.. and I find out he is watching an episode of CSI, and that is the screaming I heard.. and he invites me in and calles AAA and gets a tow truck out for my car.. and all is well..

i wouldn't use a flashlight,it would draw some sort of attension.here's a short story for ya

my phone doesn't work oh great!i looked at my surroundings and weighed my options stay in my car and freeze to death r find some1 that can help me.i decided on the latter and set out.
damn, these heels were definately not made for this!i grumbeled, i should of filled up the car but then i shouldn't hav gotten lost nor was the stupid car supposed to spin out of control and go down a hill leaving me stranded with no clue as to where i am (sigh)i continued walking for hours(at least it felt that way) until i saw a small cottage in the distance,i immediately thought saved and involentarily began jumping for joy.i forgot about my sore feet,scratched skin and of course ruined outfit!(i'm not shallow but it was goodlooking and expensive)and went to see if i could go get some help.i knocked on the door and called for help, there was no responce so i checked to see if the door was open and it was,wat were the chances of that!tonight was my luckly night(well not really but good enough),i pushed the door and it opened with a loud creek that's when i noticed for the first time that there was somthing eerie about not just the house but everything.i counted to ten ,then decided not to let some weird feeling scare me and headed for the kitchen.i found a switch and turned on the lights i didn't even realise that i was looking for a weapon until i found a rusty knife which i placed in the waist of my skirt and pulled my shirt over it.remembering i was hungry i looked for something but to my avail there was nothing.i turned around to leave and then something or more some1 grabbed me.

he placed his hand over my mouth to stop me from screaming and began choking me,i passedout in a matter of secounds.i wokeup to the smiling face of notorious rapist&killer ben morgan or benny 8 ,his pictures had been all over the news&internet,he'd been the hottest topic for a year before it all died down and now here we r together this was definately not good andhe smiled his approval."look who came to visit",he said and i immediately began shaking.he lunged after me and we both stumbeled to the ground,and i began to fight him with everything i had but he managed to subdue me,i forced myself to calm down and thinking he had won he began to push my legs apart he leaned over me and began sayingthings things that i dare never to speak or think about,then he reached for my underwear and thats when he recieved the fatal blow -he fell lifelessly to the floor.
i left the room and began searching for anything that could help,i found a computer and e-mailed for help.
at 7:30 the cops and my family arrived.his body was taken away and over&over i was reminded of how lucky i was.my parents took me home.
