Yes It is possible to keep it a secret. However, lots of people like to express their love in public, it is sometimes hard not to show affection to someone in a special moment, no matter where you are. If you want to keep this a secret, then you will have to be extremely careful. By the way, other people aren't stupid. They can see the tiny love signals you send to someone you like. Gossip can start and things could get ugly, be careful.

I'm gay myself and in highschool. I've been out for quite a while now and I think that there is no reason to stay hidden in a dark closet. All my friends are cool with it and I can have conversations with all the girls about the hot new guy.

No secrets remain unrevealed. But why would you need to keep these in things in secret? There's really nothing wrong about being gay or "going out with someone on the low." It's a free country. Live and let live. :)

There's the hard way, and there's the easy way. Same with trying to be different from all the gossiping girls. Either blend in with them, or you stand up to them. On this case, you've chosen the hard way, but it's not something to be ashamed of.
If you're really paranoid about people finding out about you then don't make any moves with your 'other' in school, try and act the way you used to before you found out you were in love with this person. Or else just ignore them completely and pretend you dont know them anymore, but I guess that would offend them..Yea..

I wish you the best of luck. And..you're secret's safe with us. ;]

The secret to being cool in highschool, and life in general, is not giving any amount of shits whatsoever about what people think about you.

If your number one practice, beside safe sex, is discretion, then you might have a chance in keeping your secret. One moment of weakness and the proverbial cat will be out of the bag. Good Luck.

Yeah it can if your careful about it. But think about it. If your gay, why hide it. Your simple hiding your true self. I will admit though that during high school it can be a hard thing to deal with if people find out. You just have to be strong.

No, no secrets can be kept in high school.
Been there. All people will promise you that they will never tell, but then they tell other people, and other poeple will tell the others.
So, I would never tell any big secrets in high school, it is too much of a risk.

Yes. Although, why keep it a secret? Never hide from yourself; always be proud of who you are. The rest of the world be damned. You don't own them anything; what have they ever done for you? Eh? And why are you listening to this silly man preach to you. Ignore him; everyone else does.

No. People are usually really shallow in high school, and are just looking for that next piece of gossip to talk about. I say come out, and never be ashamed. They are gonna be talking about you until the day you die, so just let them talk.

Have fun trying to hide that. It's like find a white boy in the middle of twenty African Americans.

(Sorry if what I said is taken offensively)
