If it's a desktop computer, go to Best Buy and purchase another one. You can get one for less than $10. I've had keyboards go out before because I spilled something on them. They don't ever work right again.
If it's a laptop you're using, you have a real problem. Laptops that have something spilled on the keyboards have to be sent to the manufacturer to be serviced.
Good luck with that!

You can purchase something called a can of air, I know it sounds lame, but it has an attachment on it for spraying it between keys.
A quicker and cheaper route is to pop off your caps key take a quetip, get the end wet and then scrub with the quetip. This procedure takes about 15 minutes and is quite effective.

you might try popping off the key. Use your fingernail to lift it off. See if there's anything under there... like breadcrumbs or gunk. If so, brush it out or use a cotton swab to clean up the mess. Then press the key back on again. If that works, then your'e in business again. If you can't fix it, then take it to the computer store or to a repair shop. If they can't fix it, then you may have to buy a new keyboard, or if it's a laptop, then do without the key.

You can use alcohol and a Qtip to clean it. Unplug the keyboard and then clean. If you can't reach under it well,, pour a very little under the key and let it dissolve the stickiness and then drain it off. Blow on it to dry well or use Q-tip as much as possible to help by rubbing it clean. Best wishes!

You can use the On-Screen Keyboard that comes with Windows XP. Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Accessibility > On-Screen Keyboard, though it would be easier to use Shift...

If it was a soft drink forget it! If it was water it could work tomorrow. When you replace you keyboard buy a soft plastic cover for it. We have them at work. You can key right through them and no worrying about spills and crumbs from those cookies you maybe munching on.
