I have a Compaq Presario and it won't boot up and system restore won't work either. I unplugged it, moved to a different location, hooked it up and it won't boot up. Can anyone help?

You can try to press F8 after your computers starts to open and select the "safe mode" option. In this way you may be able to see what's wrong and fix it. While in safe mode, try to run System Restore in this state, maybe it will work.

To access the System Restore Wizard, click Start, and then click Help and Support. Click Performance and Maintenance, click Using System Restore to undo changes, and then click Run the System Restore Wizard.

If this doesn't work then the best way is to put your Windows CD and boot from it. Use the "repair" option.

If your computer doesn't open at all then it's a hardware problem.
