Only 20 people were pulled alive from the debris after the towers' collapse:
Fourteen people, including a dozen firefighters, one police officer (a Port Authority policeman), and civilian secretary Josephine Harris, 59, were in Stairway "B" on the 1st through 6th floors of the North Tower when it collapsed. NONE. May be some from areas nearby. The Towers were brought down by dynamites and plane hit was a drama. The temperature rose way aboe 3000 C sufficient to melt all 11 black boxes and 200,000 tons of solid steel and a heavy duty printing press in the basement. How can one survive. OF course when the temperature went down, some people who entered and got toxic fumes etc. may b resuced and none from intitail blasts.

I just watched a special on it and they said 5 people. Some of those were firefighters and I think one woman was a worker for the WTC. So sad....
Wish there could've been more.
