The only thing is it doesnt fit my finger and its huge it has rubys and diamonds and i want to see what its worth but more i would like to keep the stones and get it remade for my engagment ring.. but i dont even know where to start? Any clues jewlery is definitly not my specialty

Go to a jewelry store and have it appraised. Most stores should also be able to tell you what you can do with the ring. The stones most likely can be removed and placed into a new setting.

Just get it resized- it;s probably cheaper than changing the entire ring.

And why don't you just use the ring on a different finger? Tell your boyfriend not to be cheap and to actually go out and GET you an engagement ring.

Take the ring to an independent jeweler. They can either help you or direct you.

have the band remade.. take it to a jewler and have it made bigger. my mother did that with my ninas dimond ring that was given to her also.

i know you can have it resized. they actually cut it through the bottom and add more matterial to your size then sand and buff it our . you can't even tell that anything was done to it. your gma would definetly appreciate thhis.
