ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL, FANTASTIC, ETC...

I watched a show on PBS about this just the other day.

They were talking about how the internet is decreasing the time gap between when something political occurs and when it gets to the ppl.

Certain events can happen at 1pm and by 5pm it is all over the net.

THANK GOD FOR THE INTERNET FOR THOSE WHO WANT TRUTH.

Good, overall. Discussion is ultimately good, despite the fact that there are so many people so determined to spread disinformation about important issues, and they have used the Internet as their primary tool. Fortunately, there are just as many others out there determined to tell the world the truth, so they cancel each other out to a large degree, and still manage to inform people at the same time...

Government regulation of the Internet will truly sound the death knell for free speech in the USA. I plan on exercising this most important of my rights for as long as I can; the Internet is the best place I have been able to find to do so. Can't protest at political rallies anymore without getting arrested. Thanks ever so, Dubya.

It is excellent to understand others views and get information from the whole planet , I think that the internet helped me a lot to gather information on politics and understand what is happening around me better ,, A lot of views and ideas better than reading a book. There are always some intelligent people on the net who inform us and let us take a grip on reality other than the biased media

depends what you mean. It will be good for the people who have voting rights because they can freely, across the country share ideas and information.

Bad for politics because those who want to be elected may not because of thier track record or thier parties track record. Not only that since we all share information it creates the biggest forum ever to help you decide your vote..

politicians dont want you to look for things, they want to tell you what you want to hear. They want you to make your vote based on what they say

lets put it this way, the internet is the modern verison of the small town gathering but on a larger scale

I agree good. More chances for debate, bloggers can question things. Also, politicians can have a web page. They can take donations and comments. E-mail is a 2-edged campaign tool, must not cause too much spam.

both..it informs and misinforms
It begins with a search but one must be cautious of the validity of the information they are getting in terms of, site bias, purpose, and lastly and most important the integrity of the people who created the site in which you visit.

It is a tool. I can't say if it has been a good tool or a bad tool. My vote is still out on that one.

It's been great- we aren't dependant on a biased media for all our information anymore.

i don't have to watch as much TV.
