Yes, scared. And scared that so many just fall right in line behind him. How long will it take to undo his 8 years in office, probably longer than anyone's lifetime reading this. Only 2 more years to go, how much damage will he pull off after the midterm elections without fear of repercussion.

Plus, when the news of the secret camps broke, it wasn't that the camps existed & appropriate parties didn't, it was that someone told.

He didn't use faulty information to to justify the invasionof Iraq, he picked and choosed amoung fragments of information to wholly construct a reason. When there were many voices even within the intelligence community that spoke otherwise.

Sociopath for sure (but they call it Antisocial Disorder now).

Hero? What at? Any reasonable competent President would rise to the occasion after 9-11; all his posturing in that regard is unimpressive. And he's done nothing but a series of mis-steps since then.

A truly impressive President would have kept us out of an unnecessary war, not manipulated data to start one!

This Bush administration would have gone down with the Enron scandal if not for 9-11. He's the accidental president, and remained the president due to brilliant manipulation of a national tragedy coupled with the nations unwillingness to not back our fighting men and women after the shame of how the returning Viet Nam vets were treated.

Oddly, even with that compelling list of abuses of power and catalog of secrecy with which he conducts his 'business', I am more afraid somehow of his incompetence. Like there will be another Katrina and he'll be unable to help once again. Or that a terrorist attack involving a dirty bomb will happen and the response will be inadequate and he'll pretend that he never imagined this could happen despite his being warned repeatedly, etc.
He also has an incredibly intimidating body language, for all his alleged good-ol' boy qualities. Did people see him the other night walking around New Orleans talking to Brian Williams for the cameras? He gets right in the interviewers face, with this forward leaning, like he's gonna up and whack you upside the head. After a while Brian had his arms folded and was leaning back to protect himself instead of in toward Dubya like he was at the beginning.
So, yeah, he scares me. But not in that fascist way. 'Cause I figure once he's out we can get someone in to restore the country to its former status as a democracy.

I am not a fan of Bush. I think it's easy to point out plenty of his faults. The one thing we can't be sure of is his motives. (Call him evil all ya like, but ya just can't know.)

Keep in mind, Jefferson went beyond his Constitutional powers to purchase the Louisiana terroritory because he thought it was important for the nation. Lincoln went beyond his Constitutional powers when guiding us through the Civil War.

It's pretty easy to think things are black and white when we're not in the president's shoes. But we have no idea what information he's being given, what kind of big picture and minute details he's working with. I voted against Bush twice now, but I still can't say that he's outright wrong, because I don't have all the info. And I don't envy his job much.

yes we did need to follow the geneva convention, does it not allow us to shot as spies enemies who are caught not wearing thier uniforms ?

And yes secret military camps holding prisioners of war, no law broken there

torture, you mean like putting underwear on thier heads and making them to stand on top of each other.
If this is torture we had better arrest every college faternity each year.

And yes we did have some bad information, but again it was the best we had at the time

And yes a great hero, without a president like this we would have had alot more terrorist acts. He is a leader someone to be proud to have as our president.

He's also a paranoid schizophrenic and a psychopathic liar. Hey, this is the guy who says he talks to God daily and that God talks to him and even told him to invade Iraq!! Plus, he wouldn't know the truth if it came up and bit him in the butt. His next move has to be going after Iran which will result in a nuclear (or as he pronounces it, nuke-you-lar) conflagration, the likes of which none of us can even imagine. This will probably result in the suspension of more of our freedoms, martial law, and the cancellation of the 2008 elections. Sound like fiction? God, I hope it is, but the man scares the crap out of me.

No I'm scared of people like you who are willing to sell this country out and bowing down to people who are on record saying that we're all infidels and therefor must convert to Islam or die. We can't be afraid of offending people when are way of life and freedoms that we enjoy are under attack.
