Absolutely not. Quicksand is nothing more than sand that's been mixed with water. It does not "suck" you down. In fact, if you end up in quicksand, all you have to do is float out. It's easier to float in quicksand because it's much denser than water. So while it is a thick muck, if you lie on your back, relax, and use your arms, you can move out of it.

Yes, it can, but quicksand is not as deep as everyone believes, but it can be in many places where water is present since quicksand is just sand or a grainy soil mixed in with so much water the solids begin to behave like viscous liquid. For more info check out the first link and for a picture and video check out the other two. :) Oh! and the first link has tips on how to survive a quicksand incident in case you ever happen to get stuck in one....no pun intended.....well maybe....

No. Not like Hollywood depicts. Since the composition is denser we can float. In most cases, quicksand pushes you up than pull you down.

No it happens much faster and there is no music playing in the background and the people involved aren't really pretty. Also you don't get a commercial break in the middle to run and get a snack.

i'd evaluate making use of Edwin Starr's music entitled ,"SOS". Led Zeppelin's; "Kashmir" incorporates the line ..."All I See Turns to Sand" Any sea coast Boys music would deliver a cryptic message? How about the "Hollies" music "Bus quit" - would furnish you with a pull and a develop?
