I've met a man who is married and claims he wants to be only good friends with no intimacy. Is it possible?

yep ,but only if hes gay .the marriage is a farse ,the straight ones will wanna do you eventually

Yes, but it can be difficult. I'm married and have women friends, but would never 'date' them. I would also suggest that you don't let yourself into a situation where you're alone with him, at least not where in place that could promote physical relationship.
Be careful, being good friends and being emotionally involved can mean two different things. Emotions can sneak up on you (and him) there is a fine line where he may start coming to you with things that should be between him and his wife, if you feel that line being crossed back off.
I think a good guideline is; if there is any thing he is sharing with you that would make either of you feel uncomfortable if his wife were there, back off and back off fast.

No. You need to get to know both partners in the marriage and always respect his wife's feelings and attitudes toward the situation. My man's got plenty of friends that are girls from before we got together, but I know I wouldn't feel comfortable w/ his wanting a female friend that was just his now.
