My friend has a disease, not contagious and it's under control but, she sometimes gets very sick from it. She doesn't want to tell her new boyfriend because she's afraid it will turn him off. He sees her as healthy and vibrant. I think it will eventually come out and he may think she wasn't honest with him. I won't tell him but, what do you think? Should she tell him or not?

She should tell him when she's ready to tell him. She needs to feeling confident in him and comfortable with them as a couple. If its not contagious and would not otherwise affect him, its her choice, no one else's. She will also have to prepare herself mentally for any responses he may have - positive and negative.

Yeah! If they're gonna be hugging and kissing and touching and stuff, then he has a right to know! After all, they are bf and gf so they should be able to tell each other anything, no matter what the deal is.

hey, you know what? if he loves her he won't be afraid he will love her more because it means she trusts him enough to tell him. it will make him love her even more. your friend is human and it's okay to be ashamed but her boyfriend will understand. after she tells him he will feel so happy that he was told. don't be afraid to tell him because you are afraid of rejection, if he is the right man he will love you still and no matter what. he fell in love with your friends heart and nothing will sway his love. nothing. never. so tell her to tell him. it will clean the slate and make her feel better that she isn't keeping it secret anymore. please tell her to not be afraid. if he is the right one he will understand.

Honesty in relationships is the best policy. I had cancer when I met a boyfriend at 17. We dated about a week before I told him and it didn't worry him and, in fact, we married at 22.
