For any expansion pack you install, only the latest expansion pack released will be needed.
E.g. If you have Nightlife and Open for Business, you'll need the Open for Business disc since it is released later, even if you install Open for Business BEFORE Nightlife.

I know with the original, you just used the expansion disk. I don't have Sims 2 yet, but I would assume that it works the same way. Sorry I'm not more helpful.

when you install the expansion it will prompt you for the disk you need to play it.

the last disk you installed but however if you try to install
a newer game like open for buiness before say nightlife
you would use the newer disk
