Could a shuttle be "mothballed" at ISS?

Modified for multi-year missions with Spacehab type modules and as backup emergency evacuation/re-entry vehicles?

I'm not sure. I would think it would be a bit overkill - kinda like owning a limo in case your car runs out of gas.

No, the amount of drain on the system would be too much to support a life sustaining atmosphere in it's current build state. Plus many other problems.
