Anonymity. After a while you will learn to ignore them and even laugh at it.

The average age of the whole human race is still under 15. The evident proof is that most of us are usually quarelling on trivial matters with a prompt and emotional attitude, rather than an objectively intellectual or a tolerantly spiritual attitude.
Hoping that we will soon realize this fact, and try to learn, to meditate, to train our individual behavior in order that we can enjoy the true happiness of a mature mankind.

I know what you mean. I asked about an eating disorder and thank goodness I am not the one with the disorder because someone responded "tell her she's fat and she will get over it"
There are a lot of rude people out there. Seems like there are more rude ones than nice.

If you see an answer you don't like, just ignore it. If you met people who were rude or obnoxious, you wouldn't be around them, so think of it that way. There are all kinds of people in the world, so enjoy those who lift your spirits and ignore those who don't. I'm actually amazed and pleased there are so many honest, poignant answers to people who are hurting in some way.

It's sad, but it's true.
Take it all with a grain of salt.
You just gotta realize there's alot of ******* out there. I've been online since 1982, and I've seen it since way back then too.
Shake it off, move on, and try to cull what you can from the good answers.

Because there are a lot of jerks out there. They can be disheartening, but just think of what tiny, miserable existences they are eaking out. Feel sorry for them because the only enjoyment they have is trying to make other people as miserable & angry as they themselves are.

Try to look for affirmation for your life in other places besides Yahoo! Answers. This is an online community with people who don't have an interest in whether or not you feel happy. You can't expect them to act like a friend because they're not your friends; they're strangers.

I agree. If you ask something and you really mean it and aren't just trying to get a rise out of people .. then it deserves to be answered honestly.
