Since the only records we have are phone calls, no, it's not accurate, it is a dramatization. It's also completely propagandist in a few places, like when they fabricate some Europeacn guy who tries to talk the Americans out of storming the cockpit before the "let's Roll" bit. That guy never existed and no such event ever took place in any phone record, but for some reason the moviemakers felt the need to fabricare and insert a European trying get in the way of the Americans.

It's like this thing coming up on ABC about "The road to 9/11." It's not a documentary. It is a drama.

I think it was probably primarily fictionalized. That's why I didn't go see it. It's been reported that most of the phone calls made were either messages left on voice mail for people, or short calls, less than 30 seconds long. Obviously, the writers had to basically make up all of the dialogue and actions that occurred.

well its not really certain what really happend on that plane... we do know the terrorist was having trouble flying the plane to begin with and coudlnt figure out how to turn off the beeping in the cockpit, and we do know that the passangers supposably faught back in its final moments, some people say that they think they can hear a person trying to get control of the plane but there is no real evidence... all we know is the people on that flight are hero's and saved many other people from dieing. and many other people may not think so but i think all the passangers on the other flights should be known as hero's too.

I rented it tonight, haven't watched it yet.

If you have the dvd, there are "special features" on it like commentary from the director and other things included on the dvd.

Watch them and find out for yourself.

You could also search that movie online and read what was said about the movie.

The facts of the film will be true, the idle chitter chatter is probably dialogue. But the facts of the flight are true.
