I find human beings to be fascinating and intricate creatures. So much of us is made up of genetic predisposition, life experience and previous experience with any given situation. We cannot possibly hope to recreate the makings of an individual and each of us has something to share with the world...

I find humans simple and too often self-centered. The classic: I see it this way so it must be the way I see/understand it! I don't believe in genetic predisposition, just on the influence of the environment around us (people we meet, place we go, atmosphere in witch we grow up, etc). Anyway, I agree that ppl are fascinating (just that in a quite frustrating way).

I think you're right in saying that genetic predisposition, and past experiences largely influence how someone will view people. All of us are so heavily defined by our past experiences and genetic makeup that even if someone notices they have a bad attitude it can be nearly impossible to try to change it. As much as we all like to think that we are who we decided to be, that's probably not the case. Of course, that's not to say that who you become is not partly based on your own decisions, but a large part of what kind of people we grow up to become is based on things out of our control.

I find people simple and predictable. We exaggerate our intelligence and our uniqueness, when in fact our behavior is very much genetically programmed, and very similar to many other animals. Most everything we consider unique about ourselves, are quite common traits, and most every idea we have, we were taught by somebody. There is a very little true creativity and very few truly orginal and revolutionary ideas especially on social issues and lifestyles. I would love to meet people with truly unique ideas on changing the world. By the way, I find your questions very insightful.

I think people are basically good. However, all too often it takes a special set of circumstances to bring out that goodness in many people. A tragedy is a good example. Have you ever noticed how people rally and work together when something bad happens? That is what I'm talking about.
