A president should be selected as being competent, without regard fro gender or race. It belittles women to expect them to follow a female candidate just because they are female. Women are perhaps even more critical that men in their choice...ever go shopping with a woman? Women will pick any female candidate apart both for their gender but also for their ability to lead. I would love to see a black lady become president and she would cut the BS to the bone and get right to doing business. She would not simply take care of business, she would be tougher than many men and perhaps many women. Hilliary is too brittle for the job, but someone like Maggie Thatcher would be OK but a black lady would really kick-start things. I am a male chauvinist pig but I know when it is time to let the better 'man' win.

The critically thinking American women should be looking forward to having the best person for the job as president. Voting for a candidate based on sex, color, or religion is just stupid.

The last thing we need is a female president. Ugh. Especially NOT Hillary. Have you ever worked in an office full of women run by a female boss? You want to run the country like that? Women bosses are spiteful, petty, and would rather push their own agendas than get the job done.

Not necessarily. The critically thinking American woman should be looking forward to continued leadership and excellence...and looks forward to a strong country run by the best leader, regardless of sex, race, religion, etc.

Gender is a non-issue. The President should be qualified. And if more people would vote on that premise, we wouldn't have to worry about gender.
This is a new milennium and what's best is the same as who's qualified.

A female president sounds nice, but I high;y doubt it is something our generation will live to see. There are too many redneck, backward Republican men who still think a woman should be seen and not heard....

I totally agree with you. I am a man and I think that woman are extremely smart and could run a country as effectively as men, or even better. But wut is the real question is not if the president should be a man or a woman... but who is a good president really?
BUSH SUCKS AND HE SUCKS HARD

Its not whether they are a man or a woman but what hey can do right for the country. If your thinking of Hillary , rethink it. She has flip flopped way too many times.

I don't vote based on the candidates sex and I won't vote for Hilary. She was stupid to back Bill thru the whole Monica thing. She made women look bad and I'm surprised NY elected her senator.
