im a brainiack...in my opinion...the world would crack in two....and we would all float into outer space...plz do not orginize a mass jump...we will perish.

lol that's a funny question. but no, it wouldn't work...not everyone can fit in one spot at the same time, and earthquakes come from the plates shifting underground..or something like that

there are mountains on earth that exert pressure on earth's crust, but do u hear of any earthquake there all the time?

if that were true, there would be an earthquake every day

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't, an earthquake is caused by underneath the earth, not on top.

That's a good question and I wonder why philosopers or scientists never ask themselves these questions. My answer would be yeah, and the earth crust would probably sink down and devoured by the sea. Hehehehe... Good enough, yes?
