Is being gay wrong?

Of course not, if you feel you need/want to be with another person of the same sex. Then do it, if being with them makes you happy, then be happy. Don't be heterosexual because you think its the right thing to do. Just do what makes you happy. Nothing is wrong with being gay and don't let anyone tell you that.

No one is born gay. There is no possible way to prove this mythological belief. A child is not born with the mental capacity to choose which sex that they will be with forever. People make choices in life. And the choice to be gay is one that they choose once they are able to make rational decisions in life. Being gay is not a matter of right or wrong. It is a matter of physiology and psychology. Some same sex members are capable of producing pheremones that can attract the same gender. Once these pheremones are detected by the member of the same sex, the brain produces toxins that "trick" the person into thinking that the other same sex member can give them what they need. Or make them feel special. The same effect works with drugs to an extent.

Just so you know, I've had wonderful gay/bi friends most of my life and I cherish them as much as any other friend I've had.

Ok here we have a thought experiment. Imagine that, starting tomorrow and from now on, every day when anyone woke up the first thought in their head was, "Hey, I'm homosexual" and all day though they went about their normal business otherwise, any sexual thoughts or actions in their lives were directed at the same sex. Now, consider if that happened, say, 100 or 200 years ago.

What would be the end result? Does that answer your question?

Do gay people have compatible, FUNCTIONAL body parts (i.e. capable of producing the result, without outside intervention of any kind (adoption and artificial means are cheating), that those parts were intended to produce, i.e. procreation)?

OK, you tell me, is being gay wrong?

Now, it depends on what you mean by "wrong". It's a choice some people make. Don't be fooled by the "born gay" crowd. You're no more "born gay" than you are "born drunk" or "born bank robber". Though you may have various things that come from your genes or from your very early experiences that make you predisposed to choose a gay lifestyle, in the end YOU STILL CHOOSE THAT LIFESTYLE. The pro-born-gay crowd doesn't like to admit or accept that people who "were" straight or "were" gay switched... which totally blows their argument that being gay is something you're born with and you have no choice about. Being born conjoined twins, being born with downs syndrome, being born with misshapen limbs - yes. Being born gay - NO.

According to most religions yes, being gay is wrong. In some religions it will get you killed, unfortunately. So much for Islam being a religion of peace, eh?

Being gay is NOT all that popular. Though often quoted as the choice of 10% of the population, true surveys suggest the actual number is closer to 1/2 that, if even that much.

SO, to sum up, survey says that whatever they say while being politically correct, 90% of the population shows by their own example and actions that yes, unfortunately for my gay and bi friends, being gay is wrong.

Besides, it's GAY!

well that would depend on ones thinking! however i have known a few gay people and aside from their sexuality they are just like everyone else! personally i think a person has a right to live their life however they want to! so if they wanna be gay or bi let em! that is there choice! however i do not want to be gay or bi and i am straight iam a girl who likes guys! but as to it being wrong well some people say it is and some people say its not! so i guess you have to decide for yourself what your point of veiw is!

According to all the so called "Christians" out there it is. The way I see it it's between you and whoever your "God" is. These questions get me when the "Christians" start getting all "Christian-like" giving you these "Biblical" answers. My Bible says "Judge not lest yee be judged." So the "Christian" answer is yes it is wrong. The me answer is no it's not wrong it's the way you were made or the way you chose, whichever way it is I'm darn glad I am. And Cartier nowhere is it proven that homosexuality is linked to any diseases. HIV is the only one I can think of that has been in anyway linked to homosexuality and there are plenty of heterosexuals with that as well.

What is right and wrong? Who decides this? There is no right or wrong there just Is, its all in the mind. Like what is truth? Just because you beleave doesn't make it so. How do you know its true cause someone told you.Truth is only in mans mind. So you decide whats truth.

no there are many different type's of relationships that are not so accepted in this nation and world for that matter. But it doesn't mean its wrong.I'm in an interracial relationship that MANY people don't accept but its not wrong. you cant help who you are and most of the time you cant help what you do or like. if that's your preference in sexuality then be proud don't let people put you down and most of all don't feel wrong

I think most people who are gay are born that way. If it were wrong, it wouldn't be fair.

I would say it is not wrong to be gay because some people are born with it, but it is wrong to practice the gay lifestyle.

Some people will say yes. Some churches will say yes. Many say no.

But in the end, that is a philosophical and moral question that has no absolute objective measurable answer.
