It had two guys, one skinny, one chubby, both in brown army uniforms, and the chubby one always swore. It was cancelled a few years ago.

sounds a lot like Beetle Bailey. Beetle was a skinny private and the fat guy was his Sargent who always was cussing him out for laziness or incompetence or whatever.
