The age of civilizations is ending, if you study the history of the world, the purpose of history was to bring humans together by the more righteous civilized intelligent peoples conquering the barbaric tribalist peoples, and then the growth of capitalism has led to inter-dependence among the nations of the world and led to intercourse of culture and language. The international language is English due to the British and American influence over the world. The world is moving toward democracy and the cause of workers is gaining more and more momentum. The world is moving toward unity, peace, and prosperity for all. The age of loyalty to ones nation/race/tribe has been steadily replaced by loyalty to ones social-class.

The fall destroys the civilization, as it was, forever. A new and different civilization generally will grow from the ashes or in a different area, but that may take a very long time to happen, just as the fall can take a very long time.
