PCs are all pretty much the same. The only thing that differs is who assembles them and what brand internal components they use.
I use a cheap eMachines and it has been working fine for almost 3 years.

I'm not a big fan of Dell...Even less of IBM. HP/Compaq is alright...It doesn't really matter for the brand as much as the specifications on it. If you don't know much about computers, have a friend come along and ask them if the stuff are good...

Dude you should get a Dell Macs are pretty expensive and sometimes have stuff you won't need but if you get a dell it should be cheap and you should be able to get things you want or need on it without it costing too much

I personally use dell and i know for a fact that they have desktops in that price range. go to there website and check it out
