open a floppy disk I inserted into my computer, when I am using LINUX as an operation system (if thats what its called) My windows got messed up so I am using linux to go on my computer, how can I open a floppy disk and clear web site history I visited

So I'm guessing that what you mean, is that the floppy has Linux on it? If so then you need to be sure your BIOS is set to boot from the floppy.

But you could bypass the floppy completely, by booting into SAFE mode on your Windows system. You do that by holding down the F8 key while booting.

You are doing it the hard way!
First Floppy is something like /dev/fd1 in Linux.

If windows is messed up just Reinstall it
When you do it should ask if you want to format Drive
say yes and all data will go bye bye. If you are really concerned Repartition it first with FDISK

if you want to keep data, say no and install over existing windows.

then go to C:\Documents and Settings\Me\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files and you can trash your old history.

this is hidden so you can see it by
opening Tools up by Help in file browser
click folder options
click view tab
find and activate, "show hidden files"

well it really depends on which browser your linux operating system(that is correct) uses. if it uses firefox then your can go into tools>clear private data and clear your history
