Yes it is indeed. I was talking about that today with someone. Just google "National Velvet" and you'll find your answer. That is how women got the ability to ride in the Grand National. Originally it was a "men only" sport.

yes it is and i love the movie and book if it wernt for her we may not be riding in compititions today.
