I'm not mad, I'm looking for a serious answer. Is it just in human nature to complain?

People complain in my opinion because they believe they are the source which can make things happen. If that were true they would not complain. If you can't change something or it do not go the way you THINK it should you have the tendacy to say something in the negative about it. If you try to UNDERSTAND a thing instead of trying to make it what you believe it to be, you will be a much more stress free person. You do better when you know better.

I don't think it's human nature for everyone, maybe just a few people. Maybe they think everyone else has a better life than them, or they want to let people know that their lives aren't so great.

Or maybe they don't have any other outlet to vent their hostilities and think complaining to other people makes them feel better.

In which case I let them vent. Yeah it sucks, but at least it will let the person know that another person cares about them a little bit.

I think I read a quote somewhere:

"No greater burden can be borne by an individual than to know that no-one cares or understands." -- Arthur A. Stainback

Its a way to express your feelings, and that is part of human nature. Complaining I think is a way to express your frustrations and anger without doing something bad, liking hurting someone else physically.

Believe it or not, complaints are all the more fuel to work on fixing them. The more complaints the more logical it is to persue a career. It's a gift horse in disguise when you think about it!
