actually it happens very often. technically we all have a tail. its called the tailbone. but for some, it sticks out more than usual which gives it a tail appearance. its nothing out of the normal.

Surgery can be used if needed. I have heard that as the child grows, the tail should disappear. This may be just a rumour though. I don't recall anyone having any proof of this.

Ive heard of that but have never seen it, but a friend of mine had a baby that was born with little horns on his head.... they usually go away during the first year of life, nothing to worry about. If your realy concerned speak to a doctor.

We all born differently I heard about that. I have cousin who born with teeth and bears. but he grow up and he is good looking now and very much handsome. nothing out of the ordinary he is OK and congratulation it mean prosperity and we believe he is special in my culture. We're also born with what used to be gills. For most, they disappear, but with some people, you can still see where they were.

in india i believe its a sign of prosperity. it can be surgically removed best to do it while baby is really small. your baby is healthy in all other ways right?
