A friend of mine asked me to drop him and his dog off to his cuzins house and I said OK. Once we reached a block away from our destination I smelled something and looked back. There it was, DOG POO!!! It was everywhere as if he were rooling around in it. I have leather seats so It wasn't hard to get it out of that part, but the hardest thing to clean is the seatbelts. Thats where the smell is comeing from. I tried every kind of spray, and even dish detergent. Still has a bad smell. It smells even worst because all of the mixed fragrances, but the dog poo still stands out the strongest. Anyone have any ideas on how to eliminate all of this oder? HELP PLEASE!!!

Try this stuff called Nature's Miracle that sells at Petsmart (or try online if no Petsmarts near you). It really works great and I've had many friends who have recommended it to me as well.

Pet odor is a protein based problem and cannot be eliminated by normal spotting procedures. In order to remove odor, you mus use an enzyme product to digest the protein, particularly in urine. Enzyme products may be purchased at pet supply stores, veterinary clinics and janitorial supply stores. There are many enzyme products available. I tend to favor OUTRIGHT Pet Odor Eliminator.

Don't be fooled into believing that you can spray on a deodorizer and the odor will magically disappear. It won't happen.

Treat the accident with the OUTRIGHT. Read the directions carefully, following them exactly. Now cover the area with a plastic garbage bag or a dry cleaner's bag. If there is any lettering on the bag do not let it touch the fabric or it will transfer. Weight the plastic down with something heavy - the idea is to keep the enzyme from drying out until it can do its job, which is digesting the protein in the feces. Leave the plastic in place at least 24 hours, preferably 48 hours - resist the temptation, don't peek! Uncover the area and allow it to dry thoroughly. This may require as much as a week to 10 days, depending on how deeply you treated the spot. To speed drying, let a fan blow across the area.
Once the area is completely dry ( and only then) check for odor. If the odor IS GONE, clean the area with a good quality carpet spotter that specializes in pet stains. I like Spot Shot Instant Carpet Stain Remover.

Go to a store where they rent carpet cleaners - such as a hardware store or grocery store. Rug Doctor makes Odor Remover. It's meant to be poured in with carpet shampoo, but this bottle here says that you can also spray it on problem areas and scrub - several times if necessary until the odor is gone.

Take it to the car wash and have them steam clean the seat belts. Spray them with a Pet Odor Remover spray that has enzymes in it to break down the odor.

If there is a Ziebart near to you, call them to ask if they have an antibacterial detailing. Also many auto dealers offer that service. It will cost between $60 and $200. They thoroughly clean the entire interior of the vehicle. You should not have any odors after that. Make sure to tell them about the seat belts. if that doesn't work. Go to AutoZone or Advance Auto Parts and buy new seat belts.

Go to Petco and get an enzyme cleaner like OUTRiGHT. Dilute it with warm water and spray it on. Do that several times. Then go to Wal-Mart and get some of this granules they use to soak up moisture in basements. Place the granules in bowls in your car and let them stay a week. They absorb odors.
Good luck!

Hey, that happened to me. My cat took a crap (diarreah) on my carpet and I couldn't get rid of the smell. So I decided to dump baking soda on it and TADAAAA. Try it. Just sprinkle baking soda where it stinks and let it sit overnight. Then vacuum it the next day.

Yep, Nature's Miracle is the best. We use it at the animal hospital where I work. We recommend it to everyone and our clients swear by it. Have never heard a bad review on it.
