i went to a school football game drunk and my principal found out so he told my school officer. the officer asked me if i had been drinking and i told him yes, although i did not tell him i consumed any alcohol but i told him id been drinking. so he made me call my mom to pick me up. he told me that i would be issued a citation and suspended on monday. first of all i thought an officer has to issue the citation at the moment you are caught, second off i told him id been drinking i did not say i consumed any alcohol though. anyway i was wondering if he can still give me a citation he has no proof besides the fact that i told him i was drinking, i did not get breathalized or anything

It is at school, regular laws do not apply. Rules are set forth to
control unacceptable behavior & you just got caught with unacceptable behavior. You can complain to school board, but they have to believe you over principal & your flimsy story with
officer. "I said I was drinking - but I did not say alcohol" Did you think he was asking if you had a pepsi? Do you think the school board will believe that?

No, you can not be cited. In fact you NEED A LAWYER. DO NOT speak to ANYONE, including the principal, about this at all (except your parents). Go to a lawyer. That "confession" could be tossed out very easily. PLEASE get an attorney. Also, laws DO apply to you even in school. That was proven by the US Supreme Court in Tinker v. Desmoine (1969).

They can do it. An admission of guilt, however vague, is something they will definitely run with. The reason they do it on monday is so that they wouldn't have to deal with it on the weekend. Too much trouble.

you should have been specific. you confessed to drinking, but I don't know how all of that stuff works out. you should have told him what you were drinking instead of being a smart ***. you got to learn how to think smart kid
