'Come Tell me how you live' is my favourite of hers.
I love the one set in ancient Egypt also -
'Death comes as the End' - it's so simple & affectionate and starts off by looking at the breaking up of all known, traditional social connections (a widowed daughter sees her father marry his young mistress) & ends with a resilient character refusing to despair & starting out afresh but not alone.
I pretty much tend to like her plots like 'The Mirror Crack'd From Side To Side' or the ABC murders, because they are so merciful, and the damaged ones escape the bigoted justice of those times. It's so strange to read how she saw how flawed the system was then, and how humane she was. And how she credits Poirot with such fury at the thought of victimising the innocent. There's so much insight & optimism in her novels & yet she is not looking away from human nature, she's glad to be human.
Oh, the one plot I really was intrigued by, I can't recall the title! A woman marries abroad & returns to England & finds a house she feels really at home in. She reckons this will be a great start to their life together, but then there are nightmares & old memories resurfacing, and she wonders if they can settle there. I like how she doesn't give in but explores how that could be.

I think I read all the Agatha Christie books published and there were many that I just couldn't put down 'til I'd finished the last page. 'And then there were none', 'Murder at the Vicarage' and 'Orient Express' were some of the most memorable ones. There was a short story though that was just so good I still remember it well even though I read it many years ago... it was called 'Philomel Cottage'. You must read it if you haven't already...

Sleeping Murder
"Sent by her husband to find a suitable house, a young bride finds what she thinks is the perfect choice--a charming Victorian villa called Hillside. But strange events soon lead her to believe that the house is haunted. Miss Marple however has a more sinister explanation."

I would have to say Mystery on the Orient Express. I love it for its ending, something I never expected. However, most of the Poirot books I have read have been very good.

I don't know that I have a favorite, but I think the
best written ones were Curtain, the last Hercule
Poirot novel, and Sleeping Murder, the last of the
Miss Marple series.

I love her!! But most favorite are Murder in Mesopotamia, Death on the Nile, and Orient Express, and that one about the guests and little Indians (forgot the title).

"The Murder of Roger Ackroyd" probably, because of the unusual plot twist. I love both Poirot and Miss Marple, so my favorites are any of the earlier books in which they were the protagonist.
