always when i work with wood, if i suddenly rub the wood and it has this thin very small pieces sticking out and they penetrate my skin and stay inside my skin. today we got wood( red wood)boards to make a fence, and i grabbed several of them and now i got wood thorns stuck..cant get them out. i try but it's hard.. should i just leave em alone...and will they ease out little by little?

Yes, after a few days, your body will try to get rid of them and form a little pus around them, then you can get the wood pieces out with a sharp tweezer or a needle cleaned with alcohol.

Three times a day for three days soak your hand in warm water for 30-45 minutes each time. The wood pieces will eventually loosen and you should be able to remove them with a tweezers. You might want to put some antibiotic ointment on the slivers between soakings.

They won't ease out. Wood slivers will almost always infect, and form a sort of blister that will eject the infection and the sliver.

If you can find it anywhere, drawing salve works great to help 'draw' slivers out. I've used it for years.

They are called splinters and they will likely get infected and sore if not removed. I use a clean sewing needle to get them out and clean with peroxide

Try not to scratch. Use a small tool women use to get their eyebrows off. Some also will fall of by themselves.

Sandpaper your skin. My sister did that and it worked.

remove it literally.it may cause pus to develop due ti\o infections that may occur.
