How much would you pay for a homemade wool sweater ranging from size 6m-4t? I am interested in selling some online in auctions maybe or even locally but I don't want my price to be too high that no one wants them. I make them myself so I do know the materials cost that goes into each one and the time as well, I just want to be able to make a little $ off them so I can afford Christmas presents and hopefully may down my 2 visa's I currently have. I want to cut it down to one but I have to pay one off first.

They are brand new never worn. I know I am making them myself. And for what they look like, they are so far just one solid colour on the front, back and sleeves with a second colour on the collar and cuffs. The stitch I am using makes the pattern look like a basket weave when finished.

trust me, unless you have a certain fetish, you wouldn't want a picture like that of me, maybe my husband, but not the general public.

I was considering about $20, I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't being greedy.

Incase someone missed the sizes, these are just infant and toddler size sweaters. I persoanlly don't know anyone who would pay 60-100 for a handmade sweater, no matter the size, remind me to add you to my list later. :)

I have never used ebay, I asked a question on here about it weather yahoo or ebay was better. I don't know what sells faster or who charges more in transaction fees for different things.

I would really like to know what they look like before I say, but based on what you have shared it could be anywhere from 10-20 dollars.

OMG! How long does it take you to make a sweater? With the two suggestions ranging $10-20 would this mean you are making 1, 2, 3,.. dollars per hour, after you pay for materials?
Where I live they are selling handmade, pure wool sweaters for children for $60-150, Canadian. It depends on the kind of wool, the work and the market. The higher price range are the Cowichan ones, which are made with hand-spun wool.
Handmade items are keepsakes, things you don't throw out every season. It isn't the 'fashion' it is the work that goes into them. You can be sure a handmade item won't fall apart, like the 1 out of 4 machine made ones do. Handmade items reflect the maker's life, what they were thinking of when they started, worked and finished the piece; a reflection of their soul is in the piece.
Your price range is dependant on where you are selling them. Maybe there is a consignment store, or farmer's market near you. I guarantee you the further out of the cities you go, the better price you will get for your work, and you'll actually achieve paying off your credit cards.

Depending on the quality of the wool you take the cost of the wool and add how many hours it took you to make them @ $5.00 per hour. If you think that price is to high make it less an hour.
I would pay for a hand-knitted or hand-crocheted sweater $60 to
$100.again depending on the quality.

25 to 40 dollars for something handmade- You can never make much labor-wise on a hand made item; at least not what you've put into it, in my opinion. Start higher and then see what the market will bear. If they don't sell, then lower your price a little.

have you tried e-bay? i would say start out there and try your price...if they sell and your happy with that then cool if not you can always drop your price.........but figure it this way,,take your material do a markup of 30% figure how how long it takes you to make...say $7.00 a hour and then add it all toghter, say it takes you two hours...14.00 plus lets say..6.00 for materials, there ya go 20 bucks....good luck
