I'm not sure if god exists. Capitalizing god isn't worth my time.

Those that capitalize the word do so because they are using it in the context of a proper noun. They would write "I think God did a good job!" like you would say "I think Ted did a good job!" Those who don't capitalize it are referring to the concept, as in "I wonder if the gods of Christianity and Islam are different, or if they are different interpretations of the same concept?"

Unless otherwise specified or implied, I wouldn't take capitalization or lack thereof as a compliment or an insult. In fact, if the conversation is about such things, insult should really never be taken or given. Do I believe in g(G)od? No, but that doesn't mean that you can't or shouldn't.

I think the capitalization problem wouldn't be there if there was seperate nomenclature for the name of the 'entity' and the name of the concept. For example, 'diety' implies the concept, completely seperate from the personal pronoun form.

No I don't believe in god (G or g), at least not the one you are referring to. But some people who are believers don't capitalize it because they are lazy. They don't capitalize "I" or their name, so why should they put the effort into anything else?

Yes, I believe in God, but sometimes I don't capitalize it because I'm lazy or I just don't think about it.

If it was me your talking about,it must have been a misprint.Because I try to walk every step with God by my side.He is my everything,And sent his only begotten son to die on a cross for our sins.Is this the God your talking about.Bless you all in the name of our savior Jesus Christ. It also depends on the intention of the heart.

i don't capitalize god because my god is not a fascist authoritarian nor anal retentive who likes to belittle or judge human beings for not following meaningless man-made rules. my god is a god of love and compassion.
